Jen in her Jammies: Mental Health Issues or Rogue Genius?

Each of us is unique.  But pressure to conform has meant that many people feel a need to hide their uniqueness in order to fit in.

This can be particularly true for ‘rogue geniuses’ who experience life differently to the majority.  Such people can have a great deal to offer.  But at the same time, they can feel bad about themselves because they sense that they just don’t fit in.

In this conversation in the “Jen in Her Jammies” podcast series, Marvin enquires of Jen why it is that someone that many might consider to be suffering from a mental illness, might be more accurately described as a rogue genius.

Accepting this possibility has real benefits for the individual concerned.  But it can also benefit the collective, by enabling us to better engage with the person and access their unique understanding or way of thinking.

In exploring this topic, Jen offers some guidance as to how a rogue genius might be able to feel more validated, or be able to have a better experience of the world.  She also explains how those from the mainstream might be able to better appreciate what a rogue genius has to offer, and so be able to benefit from their unique understanding or thinking.

SFT taps offer a particularly effective way to achieve both outcomes.
