Jen in her Jammies: Procreating Out of Habit

The other species on this planet can’t continue to be moved out of the way to make room for more humans. Humans have to simply wake up from the delusion that they are the most important species on the planet and all other species are subservient to them. If you think about it, the average human gives less to others than any tree on the planet. It is the nature of trees to give. Humans need to shift into that fundamental reality as well.

There are three core reasons that people are compelled to procreate:

  • Social norm that they are expected to comply with – some of which are even mandated by religious teachings.
  • The systemic fear of not being provided for when we are older.
  • People desperately miss their own childhood and wish to live vicariously through their children.

Wouldn’t it be better if they weren’t forced to give up their childhood in the first place?
