Not everyone is aware of the possibility of tapping into their ‘direct knowingness’. However, among those that do have such an awareness, as well as in certain spiritual traditions, being able to do so can be seen as a ‘holy grail’. Many people work hard trying to develop this ability, often relying on techniques like meditation.
While it may work for some, meditation and other practices that require a good deal of disciplined effort, can sometimes impede our ability to tap into ‘direct knowingness’. This is because the effort involved can trap us in the mental realms. Other techniques can be more effective.

On an individual level, visualisation and imagination can be particularly effective. So can ‘being in the moment’, and shifting our vantage point so we are free from fear.
In the business world, an ‘intense encounter with directly relevant information’, followed by switching off and releasing or letting go of the problem or challenge at hand, can enable some of us to tap into ‘direct knowingness’ to find a solution. For those skilled in this technique, that solution often arrives fully formed in the mind.
This approach is particularly helpful in finding solutions to complex, multidimensional challenges. An example of such a challenge that applies to most companies is to find a way to create wealth on an ongoing basis, while at the same time improving the lives of everyone involved. Companies that do this help uplift humanity by enhancing societal wellbeing.
