Jen in her Jammies: The Cyborg Army

All of our experiences don’t make sense in relationship to our physical life. But do they still have merit? If someone has an experience with something or someone and can’t nail it down to a physical timeline, is the whole experience discredited?  Isn’t that an invalidation of the person who is experiencing such things?

How then do we address them?  Do we medicate them and numb them of their experiences? Do we tell them they are wrong enough times until they believe it?  Or possibly, could we validate an incredibly subjective experience and allow the person to move beyond such a sublime reality simply by giving it merit?  This is what this podcast does.

When I was connected to the sociopath that tried to starve me to death, I had access to all his experiences somehow through my sensitivities. He had ascribed to galactic conspiracy theories for years. So through our connection, I had access to the most outrageous experiences imaginable. The thing is, they were real to him and when I was plugged into him, they were real to me as well.

In this podcast, I explain about a surreal experience of having my vital organs harvested to be implanted in a cyborg body –  my brain, heart, and lungs were in tact but  operated in a hollow machine. My humanity was intact but was trapped in a metal container. It was the most isolating experience I can retrieve; even more isolating than being consciously lowered in the ground after death yet staying with the physical body.

This experience seems to resonate with some of my clients. It makes it possible to understand why so many people are invested in their pain. Perhaps they are harboring an experience like this right under the surface. Perhaps when they are in incredible pain, it reminds them that they are human. Maybe that is more important to them than being pain free.
