Trees provide great assistance to humanity. But few of us understand the nature or the magnitude of their gift.
It is the very nature of trees to ‘give’ to society or the collective. In contrast, many humans are more interested what they can ‘take’ or appropriate from society.
The gift of trees is so misunderstood that many of us disparage those who honor them. The label ‘tree hugger’ has few positive connotations. It generally signals derision, ridicule, or disdain.
What is wrong with hugging trees? There was a time when there were many who could commune with trees. Druids certainly could. They considered communication with trees to be sacred, and recognized them as part of divine goddess energy.
The truth is that those of us that disparage others who honor trees, are being triggered by deep memories of their own actions during the Dark Ages – when genocide was perpetrated on female energy and the lovers of trees. Diminishing or ridiculing those who love trees today, is just male energy still trying to subjugate female energy.
Many people commune with trees without recognizing it consciously. Many more simply benefit from the healing energy that they give so freely. But as we become more attuned to trees, it is possible to look back in retrospect and recognize the many times they assisted us.
Trees want to communicate with us. But in order for this to happen, we must pay respectful attention to them. They offer great wisdom combined with a wonderful healing energy. By seeking to communicate lovingly them, we open a portal to a more magical, more mystical and more multidimensional experience of life, in which we are connected to and can commune with all forms of life.
