The secret place

Discover the magic of nature in your own garden! Transform your space into a green oasis for better health and mood. Embrace trees and plants for oxygen, peace, and a secret sanctuary.

A week ago, I was clearing the leaves in my garden and I heard two little boys talking about a secret place. They were behind the fence, so I couldn’t see them. One boy said to the other that he would show him the secret place. Suddenly, I saw one head appearing above the fence. The little boy was startled when he saw me. Apparently, I was in the secret place. They ran away as fast as the wind.

More than 75% of the gardens in the city where I live are tiled. There is hardly any green, let alone a tree. People want their garden to be maintenance free, so they can sit in their extension of the living room in the summer without working in the garden. And the garden is up to the neighborhood’s standards. I can understand that people don’t want to work in their free time. But even though it is hard work, it is the most rewarding and satisfying work there is.

75% of the population is concerned about the climate and worries about the consequences in the future. At this moment, there has been heavy rainfall in Europe and the rivers are on the verge of overflowing. The government is advising people to keep a green garden because a green garden can absorb the water. Bricks and stones can’t.

Changing your garden is the easiest and most effective way to do your bit to reverse the climate change. Visualize that your garden is a surrogate of the earth and start by planting a tree. The tree will give you fresh oxygen to breathe. This will heal your body. The tree will also guard you from any negative energy coming your way. You see, all the trees are made of the same atoms as you. They may not be able to communicate as you do, but this doesn’t mean that they don’t communicate. Just stop listening with your ears alone. And start listening with your heart. You will hear how much wisdom the tree is sharing with you and the incredible love they exude.

It is scientifically proven that spending time in nature has a positive effect on your health, especially your stress levels and blood pressure. Nature can change your bad mood into a positive one. And it is not only because of the oxygen, but also because of the uplifting personalities living in nature. I can attest to that. I can feel the energy of the trees. It is wonderful. I even saw, for a split second, a fairy under the tree. When I looked for the second time, the fairy was gone. But who knows, if people start to connect more to nature, what other magical things can happen. If you don’t have the means or the space, just get a potted tree or a plant. Spend some time every day taking care of the tree and talking to it. I can guarantee this will definitely improve your mood.

You know in Surinam, when a child is born, the afterbirth is buried in the garden and a tree is planted on top. This is a beautiful tradition to connect humans’ DNA with tree DNA.

I can really recommend you build your own secret place whether it is a massive garden or a little plant. Your secret place will help you to find the peace you are looking for.
