A miraculous rescue

Several years ago, a woman I know on the other side of the country rescued a horse that was badly abused. It was born wild. It was so averse to being tamed that its owners kept it tightly tied to a fence as a form of control. They kept it so tight that imprints from the fence were embedded into the horse’s body.  The ill-equipped humans were so exasperated with the horse that they were going to shoot it in the head and be done with it.

This wonderful woman intervened and was willing to adopt the horse. She planned on spending the rest of the horse’s life trying to help it overcome what the humans had done to it. She would share updates on social media about the hopelessness of the horse’s situation and the lack of progress she was making. She could not even get near the 3 year old and was discouraged. I offered my services as an animal communicator and long-distance energy healer.

Tapping into Lelou’s emotions

The horse’s name was Lelou. In the remote session, I was able to tune into the horse’s point of view right away. She was born wild and was standoffish about it. She was perceived by the other horses in the barn as conceited, so they didn’t like her much. The fact that the other horses in the barn thought that Lelou’s pride in being wild was conceited made Lelou even more lonely in her new life.

Besides alleviating Lelou’s physical and emotional pain, my intention in assisting Lelou was to bridge the divide between Lelou and the tame horses in the barn. It would help her have a better quality of life and not be totally isolated.

While I was connecting with Lelou in her session, candy canes popped into my head out of the blue. Apparently, there was a reverence regarding peppermint within the community of horses in this barn. Lelou was given the understanding of red and white peppermint from the other horses and was curious about it.

The power of candy cane

I asked the woman about the significance of peppermint. Not being privy to horses much, I was curious myself. The woman laughed as soon as I brought it up. The horses would get candy canes at the holidays. It was a big deal to them. It is almost like they were tapping into the whole wonderment of Christmas through peppermint. Through receiving peppermint, they got to experience the Christmas spirit as well.

Since the other horses felt special in receiving candy canes, Lelou wanted to feel special again too. And if she couldn’t feel special for being wild and running free, maybe she could tap into feeling special like the tame horses felt, through eating candy canes.

Lelou stayed present with me in energy as I worked on trying to help her. I released a lot of her angst. For me, I perceived her pain releasing as waves of stagnant frustration emanated off her. The energy of abuse was too much for her to untangle or process.

The great thing about her session with me is that she didn’t have to articulate the abuse.  I was able to release waves of physical and emotional trauma from her energy field and dissipate it with my intentions.  It is like watching a storm pass through her body but being the one initiating the passing of the energy.

Lelou’s transformation from fear to trust

Lelou then trusted me enough to communicate with me that she was terrified of men and of being petted. She conveyed that when she was petted, it felt like she was reliving the beatings and she just wanted to avoid any association with those memories.

There was a lot she didn’t understand about humans and the dynamics of living a tame life. I explained how being tame was different to living in the wild. I then gave her reference points for being a tame horse.

In energy, Lelou asked for some candy canes for herself and all the other horses of the barn. She wanted them to know that she was the reason that they were receiving peppermint. It was her way of including herself in the community and perhaps establishing a little bit of clout amongst the other horses. It is similar to a stranger walking into a bar and buying drinks for everyone.

The woman said she would make this happen for Lelou. She would make a point of giving Lelou and all the other horses some red and white peppermints. After the session, the woman went out to the barn and gave all the horses peppermint candy. That same day she was able to pet Lelou for the first time ever. In one week, the woman was able to ride Lelou. There was such a dramatic shift in the horse. Even her husband was able to eventually interact with Lelou as well.

At last report, Lelou had a couple of horse friends and was starting to feel like she belonged. It was a good session. All of my sessions are intended to be good sessions. This level of drastic shifting is the level intended for all my clients.

SFT tapping healing horses and humans alike

If you have a horse in your life that is struggling in some way or seems unhappy, you can perform the following Spiritual Freedom Technique (SFT) taps directly on them or do the taps on yourself as a surrogate for them.  If you have had a horse in the past that you feel that you have let down or misunderstood in some way, you can also do the taps for them as well. This may help you heal something that is wounded within yourself.

Insert the horse’s name into the blank space all of the statements below.  Say each statement three times while continuously tapping on the top of the head, a fourth time while continuously tapping on your chest (if you are doing the taps directly on the horse you can tap on their upper back), and say them a fifth time while continuously tapping on your abdomen (if you are doing the taps directly on the horse, you can tap on their lower back)
